Diamond Girl: The Josephine Tucker Story is the working title of my latest project–a young adult, multigenre work of creative non-fiction. That’s a bit of a mouthful. To put in more simply, the book (still incomplete) tells the story of Josephine Tucker, a refugee from Sierra Leone who fled the war-torn country with her family in 2005. The video below introduces the family members and shows how I went about writing the book.
If you are interested in hearing a few pieces from the book, please consider attending my Department Colloquium on Monday, February 7, 12:00-12:50 in 121 Lake Huron Hall. Students are welcome.
